  1. I would just combine both methods and saw out the dovetail in a short piece of wood and clamp it to the longer/larger piece.This way I have a guide for my saw and it makes it a lot easier 🙂

  9. A tip on saws – always cut on the waste side of the line. That way if it
    slips or slides off, you aren’t lost. Chisel work can clean up any mess.
